Family Snapshots

These paintings are based on old snapshots of myself with family members, primarily my sister Lauren. This series has been very challenging on many levels. I find that as I re- work these old photographic images; I am developing a new relationship with the self they portray. A compassion has developed for my “child self” that has surprised me. This work is still unfolding for me, as it evolves I will post more.
